HCR’s Cardiff Corporate team continues to grow with the recent appointment of a new Associate Solicitor and Paralegal taking the fee earning team to five.
The Cardiff Corporate team has been building a solid reputation in the marketplace for delivering on transactions since its inception in November 2020. Headed up by Partner Martyn Davies, the team specialises in acquisitions, disposals, venture capital investments and joint ventures.
Recent appointments to the team are Delyth Evans, an experienced corporate solicitor who has been appointed as an Associate and Declan Turner, an experienced Paralegal, who joins with aspirations of securing a training contract with the firm.
Prior to HCR, Delyth worked in a leading commercial firm in Newport , focusing on both corporate and commercial work, and Declan joins from LG Williams & Prichard.
The two latest appointments follow the appointment of Partner Theresa Grech in March 2022. Theresa, who previously headed up the corporate team in Wales at Ince, brings a considerable wealth of experience and expertise, and has worked on several high profile, complex transactions in her first twelve months. A notable highlight being the recent sale of Alltrust, a leading provider of self-invested personal pensions (SIPP) and small self-administered schemes (SSAS), to Guernsey-based trust and pension company, The UAP Group.
Martyn Davies commented:
“I’m very pleased with what we are building in Cardiff, both in the corporate team and the office as a whole. We have achieved a considerable amount over the last three years and have ambitious plans for further growth. It is great to bring in people who want to be part of those plans, contribute to the culture and help support our valued clients and colleagues.”
HCR is a top 60 law firm with a significant corporate team with over 20 partners operating across England and Wales and was recently ranked 1st in the UK for deal volume in 2022.
