Corporate specialists support global engineering group’s new acquisition

Our corporate team recently helped global engineering group Trelleborg AB to acquire liquefied natural gas (LNG) transfer systems provider, Signum Technology Ltd.

With its specialist offering and sales of c£35m in 2018, Wiltshire-based Signum, with a history of quality and innovation, was an important acquisition as Trelleborg sought to extend the product portfolio of its Industrial Solutions unit and to strengthen its position in the market.

As a global leader in providing engineered polymer solutions that seal, damp and protect critical applications in demanding environments, Trelleborg can now offer integrated packages and safety critical systems for both LNG ship-to-ship and ship-to-shore transfer in demanding industries.

Alison, the partner leading the deal, said: “It was a pleasure to act for Trelleborg on this acquisition. We have worked with them on a number of deals now, but this one had the added interest of having a tight timescale between the client becoming the preferred bidder and the completion of the deal, which kept the team busy for a number of nights.”
