Dispute Resolution Partner nominated for DE&I Champion of the Year award

5 February 2025

Dipti Hunter, Partner in HCR Law’s Dispute Resolution team, has been nominated for the DE&I Champion of the Year – Private Practice Lawyer award at this year’s Women & Diversity in Law Awards.

The Women & Diversity in Law Awards showcases the achievements of 170 individuals across 35 award categories, including General Counsel of the Year, Unsung Hero and Advocate of the Year. The ceremony is divided into two halves – recognising women leaders and practitioners, and addressing diversity more broadly, highlighting the stand-out initiatives and individuals across its different sectors.

The Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Champion of the Year award recognises people who are making an exceptional contribution to the enhancement of DE&I within the legal sector by fulfilling additional roles alongside their legal work – for example through work on a representative body.

Dipti has a long-standing interest in supporting greater diversity and social mobility within the profession. Dipti is a founder of Project UpLIFT which has also been nominated in the category of LGBT+ Initiative of the Year.

Project UpLIFT is a not-for-profit forum that provides support, networking, advocacy, and mentoring for LGBTQI+ and allies working in the legal disputes, investigations and forensic fields.

Dipti said: “It’s a great privilege to be nominated for this award alongside so many outstanding individuals who are making a positive impact across the legal sector and beyond.  I am thrilled that the work by the team behind Project UpLIFT has now also been recognised.”

The gala reception is taking place on Tuesday, 18 March where the winners across the 35 categories will be announced.
