HCR backs new AgriTech Zone at Three Counties

Taking farming into the future, the new AgriTech Zone at the Three Counties Showground, backed by Harrison Clark Rickerbys, is being launched at the Royal Three Counties Show next week on 17 June.

The zone, in a dedicated marquee with more than 20 exhibitors and three days of presentations, panel discussions and networking, will connect farmers and agricultural businesses with the organisations, government bodies and academics who provide the research, funding, development for and manufacturing of cutting-edge machinery, technology and equipment for the farming industry.

Integrating new technology into farming is already underway, with AI and drones in use in many major agricultural operations across the UK and worldwide. Rolling that out so that a wider range of enterprises can benefit from technology is at the heart of what the zone aims to achieve.

Denise Wilkinson, head of the Agriculture and Estates Team at HCR, explained: “We have a real wealth of agricultural expertise right across the firm and a very strong technology team; bringing them together in this space is an obvious step for us, especially as we have a long-standing partnership with the Three Counties Showground.

“With food security now very much on the agenda, new technology can be at the heart of the way we farm in the future.

“Those who think that farmers are rooted in the past could not be more wrong; they may know which methods work best on their land, but they are all too ready to see what technology can do for their businesses, their livestock and their land.”

Agri-EPI are the zone’s AgriTech Impact Associates and share HCR’s belief in the value of bringing an AgriTech zone to the Three Counties. Business Development Director, Lisa Williams said: “We are delighted to be supporting the AgriTech zone in collaboration with HCR. It is vital to connect producers and growers with AgriTech to support the profitability and sustainability of farm businesses. At the show we will be showcasing a range of new technology developments and companies that can support farmers and growers with challenges on farm.”
