Each year, every HCR office support a local charity to fundraise and volunteer for. HCR Hereford are delighted to announce they will be supporting Be More Frank for 2024/2025, as chosen by the colleagues in the office.

Be More Frank provides vital financial assistance to families with a child diagnosed with cancer in Herefordshire, Worcestershire, Gloucestershire, Powys, Monmouthshire and Ceredigion. The charity was set up by Frank’s parents after Frank sadly passed away at the age of 13, almost two years after his cancer diagnosis. Be More Frank is a special named fund of the Grace Kelly Childhood Cancer Trust. HCR Hereford are thrilled to support Be More Frank and have fundraising events in the pipeline – watch this space!

The HCR Hereford ‘Charity Ambassadors’ are a volunteer team who organise charity events – with the help of the wider office – and seek out ways to help their chosen charity. The team consists of Stephanie Waters, Ellie Whittington, and newly appointed Lianne Wolstencroft. Giving back to others and helping local causes is something that HCR is passionate about, as are Stephanie, Ellie and Lianne. It is no surprise that they not only help organise the charity events in the workplace, but they also look to support charity events in their spare time too. This includes taking on various sporting or physical challenges, such as taking part in the HCR Three Peaks challenge, completing half marathons and taking on the Malvern Peaks walk – even with added weight! A number of charities have benefited from these events including local and national charities. The most recent event included completing the Cotswold Way 100km Ultra Challenge in aid of Alzheimer’s Society.

With charity at the forefront of our minds, HCR Hereford are excited for the next year of fundraising for Be More Frank – keep your eye out for our soon-to-be announced events.
