HCR Law is pleased to announce the appointment of Caroline Nemecek as Head of Residential Property in Cheltenham.

Caroline, who joins as a Partner, has over 20 years of experience in the real estate sector. Throughout her career, she has developed a broad range of expertise, offering a commercial approach to residential transactions. Caroline has handled everything from the sale and purchase of multi-million-pound homes in the Cotswolds to newly built holiday lets in Cornwall.

HCR’s Residential Property team continues to expand both in Gloucestershire and nationally. Caroline’s appointment follows that of Sarah Loveridge, who joined earlier this year as an Associate in the Cheltenham office.

Previously Head of Town and Country Homes at a regional law firm, Caroline has worked with a diverse client base, including high-net-worth individuals, property investors, and first-time buyers. She prides herself on delivering a client-focused service, often meeting clients at their properties or visiting on their behalf to investigate legal issues. Caroline has a particular expertise in dealing with country houses and listed buildings, as well as complex title issues and unregistered land.

With changes to Stamp Duty Land Tax set to take effect in April 2025, HCR’s Residential Property team is experiencing an increase in clients who are planning for the implications, whether that involves bringing forward decisions on moving or making changes to their property portfolios.

Lisa Gibbs, Joint Head of Residential Property at HCR, said: “We are delighted to welcome Caroline to the team. Her wealth of experience in residential conveyancing is a perfect complement to the work we already undertake for our clients, both locally in Cheltenham and wider across England and Wales. Caroline’s appointment reinforces HCR as the firm of choice for expert conveyancing lawyers who wish to progress their careers with a dynamic, thriving business.”

Caroline Nemecek commented: “I am thrilled to join HCR Law’s Residential Property team. The service the conveyancing team provides across England and Wales is exceptional, and I have seen this first-hand since joining. I look forward to working with the team to grow the Cheltenham residential conveyancing practice and ensure we continue to deliver a market-leading service.”

Having gained significant experience at a number of regional law firms, Caroline brings a robust understanding of the property market, its trends, and the needs of both buyers and sellers. Her appointment further strengthens HCR’s Residential Property team.
