HCR’s Corporate team expands its Midlands offering

Continuing the rapid expansion of the Birmingham office and in response to increasing client demand, the Corporate team has been bolstered by the recent additions of a Partner, two Senior Associates, and a Solicitor. Jenna Ostrowski, Shauna Rollins, Ashley Taylor, and Saniya Iftikhar have joined the now eleven-strong Midlands Corporate team led by Alison Scott.

This strategic expansion demonstrates HCR’s commitment to providing an exceptional service to clients across the region. Each new team member brings invaluable experience and expertise to complement the existing corporate practice, positioning us to deliver even more comprehensive and tailored services to meet the diverse needs of our clients.

Jenna joins having spent almost a decade working in-house at a Big Four accountancy practice and, with previous experience working at global law firms, she adds to the already significant experience of the team in mergers and acquisitions, as well as having a specialism in the industrial sector.

Shauna joins the team from an international market research company where she was the M&A Counsel, having previously worked in practice at a top UK law firm based in Birmingham. Shauna is now on maternity leave but will rejoin the team later this year.

A former charity trustee and business owner in his own right, Ashley specialises in tax-focused business re-organisations, venture capital investments – including SEIS/EIS and VCT qualifying investments – as well as mergers & acquisitions. He has been recognised as a “Leading Associate” in the Legal 500 and was shortlisted for “Emerging Dealmaker of the Year” at the East Midlands Dealmaker awards last year.

Saniya recently qualified into the team at HCR having completed her training contract at another regional law firm in the West Midlands.

The growing Midlands Corporate team offering now further includes specialists in all areas of the corporate landscape, across mergers and acquisitions, private equity, shareholders’ agreements, restructuring, and company secretarial. In the last six months, the Midlands Corporate team has completed over 40 deals and consistently ranks in the top three in the Midlands for M&A deal volume, according to Experian.
