Four new partners are celebrating their promotions at lawyers Harrison Clark Rickerbys, with a raft of other colleagues also moving up the career ladder.
New partners Andrew Morris and Steven Murray in Cheltenham, Suzanne Vercoe in Worcester and Zoe Touhey who works between both offices, are joined by four other colleagues in the latest round of promotions – Tom Kirkhope, Jane Mayglothling, Peter Raybould (becoming senior associates) and Joe Mulrenan (becoming an associate).
Richard Knight, the firm’s senior partner, said:” “We are delighted to announce promotions across the firm. Our vision is for people to develop their careers with us, joining us as trainees with the ultimate goal of becoming partners. Congratulations to all those who have taken the next step along that path – each of these appointments has proved that they share our focus on providing an outstanding service to our clients.”
For Andrew, who is a family lawyer with particular experience of dealing with offshore or cross-border family disputes, that focus is on helping people through divorce or relationship disputes. He said: “I am passionate about helping people through what is likely to be one of the most difficult periods of their lives.”
Steven, whose specialism is intellectual property (IP) disputes, is passionate about new tech, and enjoys using his skills and knowledge to resolve issues for clients, especially when that involves protecting their rights. He said: “Working in the IP sphere means I get to assist clients who are at the cutting edge of their fields and ensure their unique ideas are protected.”
For real estate partner Suzanne, the satisfaction is often concrete – or brick, or stone. She said: “What I really enjoy is being able to see the results of my work. Walking into a new building, when you know the challenges that went into it, or seeing a client grow their business by moving into a bigger building or expanding into a new location, is a great feeling.”
For Zoe, whose focus is residential property, the key is smoothing out an often stressful process – she said: “I enjoy ensuring that clients’ move is as stress free as possible and sharing in their happiness when they complete on the house of their dreams.”
