Promotions and expansion for Midlands lawyers

13 April 2018

Four new partners are marking their promotions at Harrison Clark Rickerbys as part of a 15-strong round of promotions through every level of the firm, along with the formal opening of a new office in Cambridge.

Taking the next step in her career with the firm where she started as a paralegal 13 years ago, family lawyer Anita Hennessey, based in Worcester, has become a partner, along with colleague Victoria Fellows, based in Birmingham, who joined in 2016.

Anita, said: “It has been a great journey with the firm, and I think it shows the scope there is here for developing a great career and broad experience. I am thrilled to have been promoted, of course, along with my colleagues across the firm.”

Joining Anita and Victoria at partner level are litigation specialist Alison Goodwin (Hereford), who has been with the firm since 2012, and corporate lawyer Rachael Reeves (Cheltenham), who joined in 2014.

Promotions are boosting careers across teams and levels, with employment lawyers Oliver Daniels and Rebecca Kirk, family lawyer Maxine Reid, litigator Tom Williams  all becoming senior associates.

Lauren McGurk (probate), Rachel Newman (employment), Laura Shirley (licensing and regulatory) and Alex Wilson (family) all become associates, as do their colleagues David White and Elizabeth Wickson at sister company Medical Accident Group.

New senior partner Richard Knight said: “These talented people richly deserve their promotion – recognising talent, commitment and dedication is very important to us, and I look forward to seeing all of them progress further in the firm.

“The opening of our Cambridge office, founded on the excellent work of partner Inger Anson over the last year, is another indication of the way the firm is growing – our success is based solidly on client demand, and this expansion is an example of that.” Partner Robert Cobley will be joining the Cambridge office to offer clients there his IT and intellectual property expertise.
