Pub purchase made easy thanks to lawyers’ expertise

When Joanne Vogler and James Redding wanted to buy their first pub – the Queen Matilda in Stroud, Gloucestershire – they turned to HCR to guide them through the process.

Ben Thomas led on the property side of the purchase with partner Derek Callanan and solicitors Emma Clarkson and Adam Thompson acting on the corporate side.

Members of the firm’s employment, planning and licencing teams were also involved in the deal. This brought together a range of disciplines and expertise across the firm to enable a positive outcome for the clients as they became publicans for the first time.
