A lease renewal and excellent legal advice from Mark Fabian, Partner in our Commercial Property Team in Cheltenham, saved an Oxfordshire firm £56,000 a year.

When Cannon Packaging and Logistics came to renew their lease and their existing annual £40,000 service charges on their Milton Park premises in Abingdon, they took advice from Mark. He suggested that they ask for a cap on the charges, which the landlord agreed to, setting the new level at £50,000 a year.

But repairs needed to the property would have taken the charges up to £96,000 without the cap in place, so Cannon’s director Greg Alder was delighted.
