State of the art new campus for Gloucestershire College (GC)

We provided all the property, procurement and construction support for a new £18 million Gloucestershire College campus on a former coalfield regeneration site in the Forest of Dean.

This was a slow burn transaction over several years, given the complexity of the site involving negotiations with multiple land owners, interested parties including government agencies such as Homes England, and included complicated environmental and planning questions, political sensitivities, tight time constraints and funding issues. Our support included land transactions, a building agreement, OJEU support, tender negotiation, and assisted with the design of a tax efficient corporate structure.

The new college opens in September 2018 and forms the centrepiece of a £100 million regeneration project for the Northern Quarter site in Cinderford.
