Top rankings for legal services to businesses

Recognition of the excellent legal services which Harrison Clark Rickerbys gives to businesses across the Midlands has come from the UK’s two leading legal directories.

Both the Legal 500 and Chambers and Partners selected outstanding individuals from the firm’s teams and acknowledged the commitment and commercial approach of the teams involved. Rod Thomas, the firm’s managing partner and head of its corporate team, was singled out for praise, as was Arpinder DhillonClare Emery, who was promoted to partner last year, was chosen as one to watch as a ‘next generation lawyer’.

The firm’s health and social care team attracted considerable praise – led by Charlotte Thornton-Smith, who is also head of the Worcester office, colleagues Rebecca Leask and Helen Higginbotham was also mentioned, both in connection with major deals. Alison Scott was also acknowledged.

The firm’s insolvency team, led by Sam Payne, was praised for its in-depth knowledge and quick responses, with Sam acknowledged as a leading individual. The licensing team, led by Heath Thomas is acknowledged to be in the first rank of specialists, with experts in regulatory issues, health and safety and taxi licensing.

Both Richard Morgan and Elizabeth Beatty were also singled out for praise – Richard, as head of the firm’s national litigation team, and Elizabeth for her tough but unaggressive approach. One client said the team had ‘strength in depth…with a number of first-rate lawyers.’

Businesses considering energy storage and renewables options can call on the expertise of real estate, and the firm’s commercial property team in Worcester and Hereford also has particular strengths.
