Vessel tracking provider becomes part of global company following Corporate and International Partner’s advice

18 October 2023

When Tradenet, a SaaS-based maritime vessel tracking provider was sold to S&P Global, the financial information and analytics company, Corporate and International Partner Dr Saverio Salandra provided guidance and advice to ensure a smooth transaction.

Saverio negotiated the cross-border transaction, which was complex due to the different jurisdictions across Europe, the USA and the UK. The deal allowed S&P Global Commodity Insights to expand their ability to analyse and track commodity shipments.

Following the deal, Saverio said: “This acquisition will allow S&P a much wider offering to its clients, along with an analytics portfolio with noticeably improved capabilities.”

Saverio’s client said: “Savi was our corporate lawyer handing the acquisition of my company by S&P. Savi was excellent in understanding our existing unusual relationship with S&P and he negotiated the share purchase agreement with S&P’s lawyers in an excellent and professional manner. His experience in dealing with companies like S&P was invaluable. I would highly recommend Savi to any company going through an acquisition and would hire his services again.”
