Wales Corporate team nominated for two awards at Insider Wales Dealmakers Awards

HCR Law’s Wales Corporate team have been shortlisted for two awards at this year’s Insider Wales Dealmakers Awards.

The firm’s Corporate team, based in the iconic Hodge House in Cardiff, have been shortlisted for the prestigious Corporate Law Firm of the Year award, as well as Private Equity/Venture Capital Deal of the Year.

The team, led by Martyn Davies, were nominated for the latter deal following their work on the investment into Lovetovisit – the site used to book a variety of days out.

The awards ceremony, held at the Mercure Cardiff Hotel on Thursday 26 September, celebrates the top acquisitions, buyouts and funding deals along with the people behind them. Other categories include Funder of the Year, International Deal of the Year and Emerging Dealmaker of the year.

The nominations come after a summer of success for the Corporate team, most noticeably being ranked fist across the UK for merger and acquisition deals by Experian MarketIQ’s H1 2024 report. The team ranked second in Wales, showing a strong progression from their position at the last report.
