Why choose me
Family Law is an area where I can make positive difference for my clients during a time in their life which is often stressful and emotional. Family is so important and separation is often impactful for the whole family – not just the couple separating. I aim to help to find ways for families to separate with as little acrimony as possible and preserve relationships for the benefit of any children. I take the time to get to know my clients and what matters to them – there is no “one-size fits all” solution; I make sure to tailor my advice to my clients’ situation. When working as a mediator, I work with couples to find practical, workable solutions that fit them and their circumstances.
I work with a broad spectrum of clients, from stay-at-home parents to business owners. I have also advised high-net-worth individuals in respect of divorce and financial remedy, arrangements for children, and pre- and post-nuptial agreements. My specialisms include: divorce and dissolution, financial settlement on divorce and financial arrangements for children.
I also deal with child arrangements, pre and post nuptial agreements, cohabitation agreements and advising unmarried couples on separation along with injunction orders, enforcement orders and family mediation.
Outside of work, I am kept busy running around after my young son – and when I have a moment to myself, I enjoy running, yoga and travel.

Questions my clients ask me
This will depend on a number of factors – the assets to be dealt with in a financial settlement, the number the complexity of the issues which need resolving, whether any expert reports are required, your ex partner’s approach to resolution and how you both decide to resolve matters. We will discuss these during an initial meeting and I can provide an estimate following this.
It depends on the issue which requires resolution but most straight forward cases settle between six to twelve months. However, there are many external factors that influence the time it will take to reach an agreement which we can discuss during our initial meeting and continually review throughout your case.
Not necessarily. There is a big focus now on out-of-court dispute resolution. I can discuss those options with you and help you determine which route is best for you and your family. Any financial settlement will need to be recorded as a court order and approved by a judge in order to be legally binding, but that doesn’t necessarily mean you have to go to court to obtain the order. However, there are some circumstances where the court process is needed.
