Why choose me
I have a passion for all things tech – this started when I was programming ZX Spectrum and BBC Acorn at school! My love for innovation and interest in the intangible – including intellectual property rights, copyright and trade marks – has come together in my role as a tech lawyer. I provide specialist advise to tech clients, with a pragmatic approach to solving problems and managing risk.
I know how to draft provisions while acting for suppliers but also know where to look for them and how to overcome them when acting for buyers. I’ve worked with companies ranging from start-ups and small businesses to larger enterprises, including Ebix, Secondmind and Senate Grand Prix.
My specialisms include commercial contracts, IT and tech, the cloud, AI, intellectual property licencing and exploitation, information law and personal data.
Outside work, karate is my passion. I train regularly, and have achieved fourth Dan black belt. I also run a karate club in South East London.

Questions my clients ask me
AI is only as good as the algorithms or dataset on which it is based. Make sure you have proper checks and balances in place.
Cloud is not without risk – but providers spend to make it dependable and secure.
Most contracts will be signed and forgotten about. If it goes wrong, the damage may already have been done if you didn’t manage the risk in the contract upfront.
