Why choose me
The needs of health and social care providers are ever-changing, but one which stays constant is the need to deftly prevent proceedings in a client-focussed area. Each case is unique due to the particular set of challenges faced – this means my role is constantly changing depending on the requirements of my clients. Having worked within the healthcare sector I know your day varies as much as your clients’ needs do. I work with you to suit your schedule and think outside the box, providing innovative solutions to your problems.
I work with a diverse mix of clients. These include doctors and healthcare professionals, students on approved courses, dental practices, supported accommodation and care home providers. I also work with private hospitals and health visiting services. What they all have in common is the need for quality and uncompromised guidance in the face of regulatory proceedings and investigations.
My specialisms are varied to provide a holistic approach to the law for my clients. I defend students facing University Fitness to Practise proceedings in addition to registered professionals facing Fitness to Practise investigations. I also defend healthcare professionals before the NHS performers advisory group and performers list decision panel.
I also respond to patient complaints and professional body investigations on behalf of my clients and advise them when faced with inquests. I’ll work with you if you’re given a CQC or a Ofsted Notice of Proposal or Notice Of Decision to remove, cancel or vary your registration. I also work with my clients through safeguarding investigations and provide assistance when dealing with other CQC-related issues such as complaints and rating reviews.
I currently sit on British Triathlon’s Disciplinary Panel and Safeguarding Case Management Panel. I previously prosecuted for the International Tennis Federation.
Outside of work, my passions are reading, travel and foreign language crime dramas.
