Why choose me

Private client law is all about helping people plan for their future and for future generations. I find it rewarding to help my clients through what is sometimes the most difficult stage of their lives. I get to know them and help them find practical solutions for their problems.

I’m a creative problem solver, working with individuals – including those of high-net-worth – executors and beneficiaries of wills, trustees, charities, accountants and financial advisors. My specialisms cover wills, estate and succession planning, trusts, lasting powers of attorney, deeds of variation and dealing with probate.

Outside of work, my passions include travelling and baking.

Questions my clients ask me

The timeframe to obtain a Grant of Probate depends on several factors, including the contents of the estate along with foreign assets and whether any inheritance tax is payable. Generally, it can take anywhere between six and nine months to obtain a Grant of Probate, but it can take longer.

This is a difficult situation, but strategic and careful planning of one estate can help minimise inheritance tax liability on death.

I would always recommend anyone over the age of 18 to put a Lasting Powers of Attorney in place. A life-changing accident can happen at any time. Lasting Powers of Attorney are like insurance – have them in place just in case something goes wrong.
