Arbitration
Following separation or divorce, it’s important to ensure that any issues around the division of financial assets, the family home and arrangements for children are resolved quickly and amicably. Our Unified in Separation team are here to help guide you through the various options available including the Arbitration process which may be the best option for you.
Arbitration – A better way to resolve conflict
Focussed on reaching a swift conclusion, we work with you to put you and your family’s needs first. We assist in collating the necessary information for arbitration to take place, and create a bespoke plan for you based on your circumstances. Our specialist team are committed to using methods of alternative dispute resolution, including Arbitration to resolve the wide spectrum of issues experienced by separating families.
What is Arbitration and why should you consider using it?
Arbitration is an alternative process to making an application to court for a judge to decide on any outstanding issues that you and your partner cannot agree on. In most cases the court process is lengthy, costly and stressful. Arbitration is generally a quicker, more cost-effective, and more personalised process than court proceedings.
There is also the added benefit of being able to choose your arbitrator and the steps which need to be undertaken prior to the arbitration taking place.
Who Arbitration can work for?
Arbitration is suitable for separating couples who need to resolve either their financial matters or issues with child arrangements, and wish to do so outside of the court process. It is for individuals who want early resolution, including those who have complex business interests, assets and pension structures, and where there are pressing issues relating to arrangements for children.
